Do You Really Want To Sell Your Home?

Are you a motivated seller? If you are not really into selling then the buyers can sniff you out and determine that they just don't want to waste their time with you. Right now, if you don't have to sell, it may not be the best time. But if you are interested or NEED to sell your home, here are three items you will want to tell your agent before jumping on board to list your property.

1. Tell the agent your reason for selling. What is your motivation?

What is it that is driving you call the agent and get started on listing your Mill Creek real estate, Snohomish county property or King County home? I market your home with every available tool and come up with a proven strategy to get your home sold. Let me know you are serious and want to sell the property. Many things can prompt a sale not just wanting to move. If you are in a job transition, divorce, kids moving out or new one's being born, school relocation, etc.. these are all pretty serious motivations to get you involved in the process to sell quickley. By learning the main motivation up front helps to focus my marketing and advertising to get you the best possible price.

2. Is there just too many repairs needed on the home?

 If you can't have the main fixtures in the home repaired or replaced if need be, you are just not going to get top dollar for the home. If the Snohomish or King county real estate needs serious repair to the roof, furnace, foundation or wiring, and you can't either come down on your price or have it repaired, then maybe you are not ready to sell or motivated enough.

 3. Tell your agent exactly how much equity your home has

  If your home has a loan over 10 years old that tells the agent you have some equity to work with. If you want to hang onto all of it, you may not be ready to sell right now. Having more equity gives you flexibility to work with a buyer. If you home has little equity and needs repair then perhaps a short sale is the way to go although lenders are not as flexible as they have been in the past.
